"AOL & Cable license politics"
Does anyone know if AOL will be required to apply for Cable license transfers in all of the towns served by Time Warner ?

They have been funding the Open Access Coalition all over the country, demanding that all Cable ISPs open their networks to any ISP. What will their public position be now ?

They will have to deal with license transfers. AOL has said they will implement open access on Time Warner Cable systems once the merger closes.
AOL feels they can compete well against any ISP on cable, just like they have done in dial-up.
