"sharing cable between two computers with a router on winXP on both"
my setup is: one computer with windowsXP that has the cable modem connected to it. this computer and modem is connected with the router. the other computer with XP is connected to the router. on the host computer there are two local area connections. one for the cable modem and one for the network. in the properties and advanced of the local area connection there is internet connection sharing. when the tab is selected for the cable modem, the internet works on the host computer but not the other computer. when the tab is selected on the network local area connection, the network works, well printer and file sharing works, but the internet works on neither the host computer or the other computer. internet connection sharing cannot be selected at the same time on both of the local area connections. i tried to bridge the connections, but then the advanced properties were unavailable. any help?

don't bridge, take and goto into the netwotk prop. select on the icon that has the internet on it, make sure it has the sharing hand under it, if it doesn't right click on it and change it to shared. make sure U have already selected on the network ones to auto config.
Instead of having the line go into one and then auto, put it to the router first, and then to the computers.
