we have A cable internet acces and a 4 comp network if one computer is downloaded many files does it affect the spped of the other computers connection (we are using a lynksys 4 way hub)? any help would greatly help solve a HUGE argument.

Yes. You have a set amount of bandwith coming through your cable modem. In simplistic terms: If one computer is using a lot of it there is not a lot for the others to use. Mike gunther52@yahoo.com
