i am running a home network,when using the 2nd pc i can sighn on to aol and run kaza.however when i pull up ie i get nothing i am using a cable modem i i always have a connection. does anybody know what is wrong. please let me know

Sounds to me like you don't have DHCP enabled in the nic's, so both computers are trying to use the same IP address to connect to the internet. You should also have the computers configured to share internet access (which will probably activate DHCP).

In IE go to Tools - Internet Options - Connections Tab - Make sure that never dial a connection is checked and under LAN settings only Auto Detect settings should be checked.
