"bandwidth trouble"
Hello. I have a 4 port netgear hub, 10 base t, I have 2 IP adresses and 2 computers on the network. One computer has very nice internet but the other ones bandwidth stinks. I run a game server and it craps out after 6 people. Anyone know how I can make my bandwidth better?

First hmm what's your bandwidth? are you on cable? if yes then you have anywehre between 128-290 up which is good but not great for a game server with more then a dozen people also what speed is your proc of the server? How is your network configured? Are you accessing all the pc's at the same time while playing a game? Since you are running a hub and they are likely to run into traffic bootlenecks, get a switch if you can. Are you using good quality NIC's ? with conflict recovery and a decent prediction? I preffer 3COM. Is one of your routers/hubs firewalled? If yes then run the game serever at Demilitarized zone port or kill the firewall since most cheap script firewalls included in routers limit the # of open ports at one time, they basically give you which ports can be opened and deny or drop the others. Please give more info in order for more detailed help.

Sorry for errors I don't proofread.
