"Anyone have Charter Cable??" |
Hey, I was just wondering if Anyone Has the Cable access from Charter. Its in LA and surrounding areas. I Just want to know if It is a good service, so if anyone out there has Charter Cable and has any comments about it, Plz let me know. THANX! =D

I just ordered it. I live in Riverside, Ca. I had a battle with Pacbell for 4 weeks trying to get DSL only to find out that I couldn't. So called up Charter and asked if they had 2-way cable in my area, they said yes. They are offering 128/512. I will be hooked up on the Wed, 30th of Aug. They do say 256/2M. I cannot wait. I'll keep you posted.

I have had charter/earthlink cable service for about one month, overall excellent, very fast, rarely slows down for few seconds, overall excellent.I have been unable to get netmeeting with the video cam, earthlink/charter have not been helpful. Greg

Well I'll be damned cause my charter cable in Glendale has given me problems and every single freakin time i have a problem and call those guys, i get the same person answering the phone every single time. His name is Mark. and every time he starts off with this crap about "turn off your computer and unplug your modem" even when he knows how many times i called him and he still treats me like i am a first time user.

We've been with Charter for over one year now
in Georgia and while the service has been
pretty good, lately its been very slow and
the company hasn't resolved any issues. I used
to average around 1100 kpbs and now I'm down
to about 600. Last night at 7pm I went down to
76 kbps. My big complaint is that whenever there is a problem it takes a few weeks to get fixed and
nobody will tell you anything.My advice is to look into a DSL service like
I am.
