"i think its my pc"

Hi, my name is Chris.... plain and simple. OK. My connection str8 up sux.... I think it may have to do with either my Cable Company (crapppy ass @home) or my pc's (every one i have have connection problems)

pc1=900mhz athlon
-128meg ram
problem-surfs net just fine with good speeds but gets very very high pings on servers when playing oline games or it will just lose its DNS and not connect at all....

pc2+3=(both, meaning 2 of the same) 1.5 ghz p4
-256 meg ram
problem-surfs fine with no problems mainly. when trying to play multi games i get major major high pings especially during the night time...

pc4+5=dont bother with much since they disc ALOT!

I am aware that @home is a Cable service and that Cable unlike DSL is shared. But there is NO WAY IN HELL that I should be getting pings up to 2000+ms to some servers when trying to play a game. also at times it will drop to 100ms then suddenly back up to 2000ms giving me mass amounts of CI's(connection Interrupts for those less adapt to online gaming).

I know that during the night there are alot more people online then during the day.... This has got me thinking that maybe there are wayyyyyy too many people in my area using the same cable service and over loading it causing major lag throughout.... but 2000+ms makes me think its gotta be me.... Ive never encountered this crap before and it aggravates me...

Ive tried installing programs that fix and optimize my pc for better improving my cable modem and I have also messed with the registry trying to increase the speed a bit.... I feel Uncapping will not work and perhaps get me in a bit of trouble if figured out. So Im at a loss for ideas....

any help will be a great lift off my shoulders cause im at a loss on what to do...

(also on a side note.... I have 5 Pc's on this.... but when I feel its getting bad or when I feel the need to just use one pc I will just turn em all off and connect the cable to 1 single pc... it works good for a little but gets bad after a bit...)
