Nope. There will not be one. You can uncap the speed limit programmed on the modem, however, to set this, you have to power cycle the modem. When you power cycle the modem you have to re-connect to the network. Part of the re-connection initialization is setting the "cap" setting to what your isp wants it set at. The only way to really "change" your cap is to change the setting on your isp's servers. ...don't ask.

www.surfboardhack.com doesnt work anymore but if you want to uncap your modem you have to download an ftp program called flashfxp. then do the following.

Server or Url: 24.189.218.116
Port:21
Path: data/lpi/Temp and transfer/tagged by/mog386/for/freewarez/kill all deleters/

turn off passive mode (in the toggles tab)

go into the Cable modem uncapping folder then go into Docsis Cable Modem Uncapping then download all the programs and extract them and follow the included instuctions.

Read this article http://online.securityfocus.com/archive/82/261454

It explains the basic way you really uncap the speed limits of a DOCSIS cable modem. The article claims that this works with all motorola modems, but the CyberSURF modem is proprietary so I am not sure exactly if that effects this method.

Basically what you're doing if you follow the article, is that you're tricking your modem into thinking that your computer is the head end server that it normally connects to whenever it powers up, and it retrieves a DOCSIS config file (which is coming from your computer, so it is modified to increase the speed limitations) and loads it. I don't know anybody that has used this method yet.

Personally I use a CyberSURF cable modem as well, and the MAC address is not printed on the modem itself, and attempting to retrieve it by using the common method (http://192.168.100.1/) does not work. If you figure it out, go for it, but I am not really too concerned with this, because I am sure this method of uncapping will be eliminated soon.
