"Cable internet speed uncapper" |
Well, like Jeffcorp1 said, you can try an uncapper, but at your own risk. I have found several versions of uncappers via Limewire. To get them, first, d/l Limewire from limewire.com and install it, blah, blah, etc..Then, once you are connected to Limewire, and have sufficient hosts to d/l from, select programs and search for uncappers, or cable modem uncappers or something similar to that search phrase. Eventually, as hosts connect to you, you will be able to find a program for uncapping. Again, at your own risk b/c I don't know what kind of spyware these cable companies have. Consequently, Limewire is the BEST way to find MP3s that I have ever used. What I do is leave Limewire connected for like 30 minutes and connect to a lot of hosts. You can even find FULL versions of XP, 98, 98SE, NT Server 2000 (which is a VERY expensive OS if you like network OS) as well as tons of other programs that cost a mint. The only problem with this is that these programs are, no lie, well over 500 MB zipped! I even found NT 2000 on there and it was over a GB! If you don't have broadband, (well, you would not be at this forum if you didn't), I would not suggest even attempting to d/l one of the OS from Limewire. It would take far too long. Anyway, if any of you get to try it, post what happens.
