just got cable its hella fast supposedly faster then a dedicated server.yet when i play games it seems i get laggy quick is there anything i can do to fix this? by lag i mean like with cable u should be able to just shoot and kill other players yet i still have to lead like i did with 56k

Make sure you dont join a server w/ a ping above 300, or 350 if you dont mind the lag. And dont join servers w/ more than 20 or so people, those games arent that fun anyway, in my opinion. The last, but not least, tip I have is to make sure you have the latest version of the game! Dont get stuck w/ "old" network code. Keep in mind there is no such thing as a lag free game, unless you gotta t3 or on a LAN or something. Hope that helps some, cyaz.

I have a similar problem sometimes... try playing when it is no longer peak hours for your area... like early in the morning or late at night... It could simply be the amount of people stressing the network

maybe the game u play is using up your memory resource quick....a brief desciption of your system would have helped us help you....try using a memory cleaner..i recommend FreeRAM XP Pro 1.30<<[not just for XP..i am also a gamer and once the settings are configured this ram cleaner is the business.
