"upstream is slow"
Has anybody changed the settings on their cable modem for a faster up or down stream? I am leasing the COM21 model 1000 cable modem, and supposedly it is restrict to 1 meg download and 128k upload? and that is about what a get when i do a speed test from dslreports.com or is this all controlled from the cable operators head end???

your probably limited to a 128 upload, downloading is always faster.
i only upload at 128 also

It is very much possible to restrict ur UPSTREAM BANDWidth at Service provider point. They can change it any time (Not Legal).

1.They will show U XXXX Kbps at time installation They will allow U X Kbps only while running.

2.If it is fluctuating then also contact Ur Service provider.

3. The best part is to take CBR Constant Bit Rate
at a little higher price.
