All you need is the HOSTNAME or Computer Name.
Right click NETWORK NEIGHBORHOOD, Click IDENTIFICATION and put the hostname there.
Reboot..........

I am not sure of I have the surfboard sb4100 cable modem connected tothe net the best possible way.

How do I know if I am not using MSN or one of those type of accounts?

Is the sb4100 suppose to be listed in the modem section of my pc or is just the adapter card suppose to be listed?

Virginia

sb4100 is best connected via ethernet.

How do you know if you are using MSN? Are you signed up with MSN? Or did I misunderstand your question?

Just the NIC card will be listed.

Mike
