"Web Pages won't fully load" |
I have Optimum Online from cablevision and i live in Ny. i must have called their tech. support 10 times at least. my problem is when i go to load a web page most of the time it doesn't load, it takes 10, 15 mintues to load or just the text comes up and no pics. cablevision sent a tec. to my house he changed all the cables and still doesn't work. even though it worked on my own celeron 400 computer and on the tech.'s laptop and im running windows me. then cablevision told me to call microsoft, they said it was a software problem with internet explorer and i wasn't lossing any packs and i could ping domain names. i called microsoft and it was a 425 #! and i was on the phone with a tech. for 2 hours and we changed so registry options and internet options but after 2 hours she ran out of ideas and the internet still wasnt working. so she told me she would have the research department call me with 3 days prob 24hrs she said, we'll see. if anyone can help me please help!!!!

More than likely it is the proxy server... Check your browser settings for a proxy server and if there is one remove it and try again. I had problems with this as well.. I had to reload the computer to get rid of all of @home registry settings from my PC(they set the browser to put back the proxy if you removed it...)Hope this helps.. Serverspeed.

HelloI have seen this prpblem a few times with some of my friends systems. The first thing was have they cleared the temporary internet files? Second have you tried going to control panel--internet options---advanced---then hit restoer to defaults. I have seen this work in allot. good luck
