"Cable speec"
My Roadrunner internet runs fine except from the hours of approx. 6:00p.m. to 11:00p.m. During this time it will run normal for a while and then be reduced to a crawl then go back to normal. Is this a problem with my Roadrunner service or is it on my end? I get different answers and theories every time I call RR support. Thanks for any help!

I dont know the sites that you are surfing, but there can be whats called latency to some sites at peak hours. This translates to slow speeds. Heres what you can try.Find your gateway (server) Ip address and ping it at the hours you are having trouble. As you are doing that Ping the site you are finding slow. If your speeds are fairly constant to your gateway or server. Thats good as it indicates that your cable service is in good shape and the problem maybe beyond it. If you find on the other hand that you are seeing very long ping times to your server then call the cable company. IF you find the server times fairly constant and the site you are viewing slow chances are its the site. You can then do a trace route to find out where the bottleneck is. Hope this helps.
