"Cable and VPN Connection Need Help"
I have a 3Com Modem (DOCSIS) and I connect to my company network via a VPN connection. The problem is that for some reason, I occasionally can't seem to keep the connection and it fouls up synchronization of MS Exchange and browsing of Public Servers.

Has anybody had this problem? Are there conflicts with cable connections using VPN??

Thanks for any help.

Yes, your cable company may provide you with an IP
address via DHCP and everytime it goes to renew a
new IP it sets your company server off sync.

Check out navsgrp.home.att.net. He has a lot of info about Cable modems. I recall there being something about drops.

Now maybe you can help me. I can't get VPN to work using my Cable modem with Knology.net. I have the same modem. No problem with VPN using my analog modem. BTW, I did follow the info on the above website with no luck.

Anyone have any suggestions?
Thanks
