Hi I need some help figuring this thing out I have one of the Motorola SB4101 SURFboard Cable Modems and it hasnt really satisfied me at all I only get 42KB downstream and even lower upstream I've tried the ethernet and the USB both and i got the same results , I've read some of your guy's reviews on it about how fast it goes and everything somebody please help me.Please send me an email if u know anything about this

I don't think it is your modem. Most likely your ISP is congested or something like that or, the registry settings in your OS. check out www.speedguide.net for some registry help and other stuff.
