"Anyone had problems with @home and Win2k" |
Basically what i am wanting to know is how to set up a cable modem in win2k i am getting it on Jan 14th and have win2k installed. I do not want the techs to be confused. Also do all the ethernet cards @home provides detect on win2k with no problems.thank you to anyone who can help me out Later

Legally you are not allowed to have Win 2k on your computer unless you are a certified Beta tester. So if you are not a legal beta tester then i recommend that you reformat to Win98 or WinNT before they bust your ass. But if you are a Beta tester then you should have no Problems. It is just like Win NT, and most cards and such have drivers for Win2k. If not, try the Win NT drivers for the card and see if that works, otherwise Win2k is just like WinNT or Win98 in terms of installiation and setup of the network card and modem.Email me if u need any help.

Do you really think MS would even look at someone running Win2K? I am a MCSE and MCT and they do not care if you spread the beta around. Good Try, JT
