Hi, I currently have AT&T dialup service. My cable TV provider is Adelphia. If I purchase a high-speed cable modem, do I HAVE to automatically use Adelphia's broadband cable service? Can I find a cheaper service and use Adelphia's coaxial cable that runs into my home? Thanks, Jon

unfortunately unless you have another cable provider in your area that services you (most cable companies are granted small area monopolies so they do not have to share all the cable or so that more than one company doesn't have to tear up all the streets and lay their own), then you are SOL and would have to go with Adelphia.
