"want cable modem only service"
Is there an FCC regulation that states cable companies have to provide cable modem only service vs. basic cable tv and cable modem togther? I have a lot of people telling me the FCC made a new ruling, but I can not find it on the net anywhere.

You should have a choice if you want just the cable modem or basic cable and cable modem service. Usually if you have cable service, you get a discount. I live in Oklahoma City and our cable ISP here "Cox" has it available for $39.95 if you are a cable subscriber or $44.95 otherwise.
