"Remote access to my Cable Modem" |
Hello-I am trying to figure out a way to access my PC at home via my Cable Modem. Do I have to go through my ISP (Adelphia) in order to gain access to the 'seemingly' internal network in order to access my pc (i.e. configure a route from my pc at the office to the internal network), or is there a simpler way. In addition, what's the best software package to use, as I am looking at VNC but want to know if there are any other solutions. Thanx. Mike-

VNC, PC Anywhere, and a few others that have slipped my mind.VNC is pretty decent, although make sure you change the default port and also use a foolproof password as people can scan for open VNC ports. Mike gunther52@yahoo.com

Ditto on those programs. I use PC Anywhere, but they're all about the same.
