"@Home Connection Problem"
I have a problem with my Rogers@Home where once in awhile I can completely lose my connection. I can not access WWW/FTP/etc...

I've had @Home for 3 years and this only started happening around September.

The strange thing is that in Win98, when I lose my connection, to fix it I just run WINIPCG, Release All, then Renew All or just restart my computer.

Now I've tried this with 3 different computers and different NIC's and cables, and Rogers@Home brushes me off saying its my fault.

I've doublechecked all my configurations and connections. Whats weird is that when Rogers pings my modem to test, it works, eventhough I can't access the 'net. So I'm thinking something is wrong in the modem?

Can anyone help?

1. "RE: @Home Connection Problem"
Hello
I am running a server off the Rogers@home
cable network. I have my own DNS and configured
the name to my own and not Rogers and registered
the name and the ip number rogers gave me with
internic.

From time to time I get black outs from my gateway.
As my server is in Burnaby and I am working in
Sweden. I have pinged the server to controll the
connection. Once the ping reaches the gateway
then there is a blackout and time out of the
ping from time to time of the ip number.

So it is correct that Rogers has network congestion problems and routing problems
