Whether you are a die-hard dial-up subscriber or a believer in broadband, your Internet Service Provider (ISP) can largely determine where your allegiance lies.
Your ISP should reliably provide you the services they promise and they should have a good reputation for customer service. Most ISP’s offer free e-mail addresses and security options. Does yours? All of these reasons and more make it so important to pick a good and reputable one.
This survey taken by PC World Magazine in June 2007 shows a list of the top ISPs in the industry and how happy their customers are with the services provided. Each of the providers listed was judged on the following criteria:
- overall service
- reliability
- tech support
- customer support
- download speed
- upload speed
- spam blocking
